Since 2020, after Zhaoyi’s first short film A Normal Afternoon been selected to FIRST International Film Festival, she started working in films and kept getting invitations from different organizations to create short films. She worked with WWF China, vivo, Shanghai Mental Health Center, OWSpace单向空间 and so on. Her short films have been selected to different film festivals such as Europe Intentional Film Festival, Short to Point, FIRST International Film Festival. Her short film The Hot Pot was the winner of FIRST 2021 short short film vivo culture award. Media reports about her works can be read here and here(both in Chinese).
